Building Renovation/Construction Update - Week of July 12th
The multi-million dollar building renovation project is progressing at the O'Bryant this summer. Click for more details and pictures.
The O’Bryant is undergoing a multi-million dollar building renovation project which, among other improvements, will include seven (7) new, state-of-the-art science laboratories, a robotics facility, and a new front entrance!
Last summer, two (2) science labs were completed in the science building (building #5) and the robotics facilty is almost finished.
This summer (as soon as the bell rang on the last day of school), work began on the five (5) new sciences labs as well as the new front entrance in the main building (building #3).
Attached are three pictures taken the week of July 12th.
The first picture depicts the work done thus far on one of the two (2) new science labs on the basement level. The view is of what was the Community Science Workshop into what was Ms. Elder/Ms. Saluti's classroom - the wall between the two rooms has been removed. Similar progress has been made on the other new science lab on the basement level (Ms. LaBonte and Ms. Campbell's classrooms are being converted into a new science lab).
The second picture depicts the work done thus far on the new main entrance. The view is of what was Mr. Kazlauskas' classroom.
The third picture depicts the work done thus far on one of the three (3) new science labs on the third floor. The view is of Mr. Johnson's classroom into what was Mr. Muller's classroom - the wall between the two rooms has been removed. Similar progress has been made on the other new science labs on the third floor (Ms. Roberts and Ms. Shields' classrooms are being convereted into one science lab and Ms. Williams' computer lab is being converted into a new science lab.)
