Mathematics

The mathematics department of the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science strives to offer a challenging diversity of courses, designed to prepare students for success in higher education with a greater emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields. We are dedicated to developing our students’ conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, application, and effective communication of mathematics. Our department endeavors to promote our students’ critical thinking and problem solving through the development of their skills in logic, analysis, and reasoning. We hope students will leave the O’Bryant being able to creatively and collaboratively incorporate mathematics into a variety of environments.
